Happy New Year!
December 31, 2009This is my first try in baking chocolate crinkles! Haha..Palpak!
I guess I wouldn’t be serving something round for new year’s eve. Oh well.. Happy New Year everyone! :p
When you expect nothing, you will not be disappointed
December 24, 2009Because I can be a control freak sometimes, this is going to be my Christmas motto this year and for the coming new year. Ihave to learn that not everything goes to plan and the only thing I can control is how I act. Merry Christmas everyone. Don’t forget what Christmas is all about - Christ :p
Baby Chronicles: Baby things!
December 18, 2009Ok, so I’ve started cleaning up the baby’s room where my mom and the baby will stay. We’ve got a baby’s closet already. So that’s where I put some things we’ve already bought for the baby like these:
I figured I’ll start buying little by little in case the baby decides to come out earlier (wag pa naman sana). So we already have 2 sets of clothes, 3 wraps, a grooming set and a microwave steriliser with 3 bottles. The rest of the clothes, I’ll ask my mom and sister to buy it in the Philippines. And the rest of the furnitures (crib, stroller, car seat, high chair, swing), we’ll buy it after Christmas when hopefully they’ll be on sale. I think I’ll need to buy a few nappies and a formula milk too just in case. I’m planning to breastfeed but we’ll see how it goes.
And I have started listening to classical music and reading to the baby too. I’ve read that at this stage, billions of neurons are developing in the baby’s brain. So here’s what I bought for the little one to make him a genius (aka as nerd! hehe.. ):
That book is the same book I gave Ned when he was about to migrate here. That was 6 years ago! Now we’re giving it to Baby Gab! I can’t believe how time flies so fast! I’m almost through my pregnancy and we’ll get to see Gab in a few months! I can hardly wait. :p
Three parties in one week!
December 14, 2009With 11 days to go before Christmas, parties are already everywhere! Here are the pics from last week’s:

How do you quantify happiness?
December 11, 2009I didn’t know there is such a thing as Gross National Happiness. It is a pretty interesting concept attempting to quantify happiness based on the quality of life. Me, I don’t need to quantify it. I am just simply happy. My mom was granted a one year tourist visa. I’ll see her soon. I missed her so much. Thank you papa Jesus.
This is nice, that’s why I’de like to share this with you:

Good things come to those who wait (and pray). :p
Baby Chronicles: My pregnant tummy at 27 weeks
December 6, 2009

I’m almost in my third trimester and I still haven’t grown that much. Hehe.. I’m going to have another midwife’s appointment this Thursday so I’ll find out by then how big is Baby Gab now. His routines are changing now though. Before he’s mostly active during the daytime and slows down at night. Now, I think he’s fond of having “siesta” in daytime so at around 2 to 3 AM in the morning, he’s awake and keeps on kicking me. It’s a good thing this is my last week at work, because I haven’t been getting enough sleep already. I keep on turning and tossing trying to get into a comfortable position where my ribs wouldn’t hurt that much, and going to the toilet every 2-3 hours. I’ve noticed some dark spots (mole like) appearing my chests and some in my belly area as well. Oh well, as one of my colleagues told me, this is when the ‘fun” starts. Not good fun though!
Stop Global Warming
December 1, 2009 It’s the first day of summer here in Australia but it it was cloudy and windy this morning when I was about to go to work. It was 20 degrees cold earlier, which was the opposite of last weekend’s weather . A week ago, it soared up to 42 degrees here in Sydney and the following day, the temperature went down to 20 degrees lower! Now, tell me we’re not having a climate change. So before it’s too late, please join this campaign and try to do something about it even in your own little ways.
